Teacher and Choreographer

Michelle is a certified dance instructor with 34 years dance experience and 16 years teaching experience. She danced competitively with Kelli and has taught for Kelli’s Kreative Dance since opening year. Michelle primarily teaches jazz, hip hop, tap and fitness/conditioning classes.  

Michelle has received numerous local, regional, and national competition awards in ballet, clogging, jazz, lyrical, production, and tap as a competitive dancer and choreographer/instructor. She has been awarded dance scholarships, studied at the Gus Giordano Dance Center in Chicago and danced for Disney as “Mary Poppins” in the Hunchback of Notre Dame movie premier. She has also judged for several dance teams including the Chapellette Dance Team and Desty Darlings. Many of her students have gone on to study at NOCCA and dance with several high school and college dance teams.

Michelle received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing along with an Associate’s Degree in Juvenile Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. She went on to achieve a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University of New Orleans. While in graduate school she worked for Children’s Hospital of New Orleans in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a registered nurse. Michelle currently works for Access Health Louisiana at the St. Charles Community Health Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Pediatrics.

Michelle and her husband, Jason, are proud parents of their three children, Jay, Ryder, and Adeline.
